Visiting Kairaku-en

In Mito city, Ibaraki prefecture, there is a famous park called Kairaku-en. It is known as one of the three most beautiful parks in Japan, especially because of the many plum blossom trees. There are also many cherry blossom trees to enjoy, but the real stars are the many plum blossom flowers. Kairaku-en is wonderful to visit any time of the year but I recommended it most of all in the spring time when the flowers are in full bloom. Perhaps you can still catch them this season! You can take the Joban line from Ueno station in Tokyo, it is very convenient to get there.
